Roger Funke, Woodworking, at the Blue Moose Art Gallery

Roger Funke, Blue Moose GalleryRoger Funke grew up on a wheat and barley farm in Northern Idaho where he learned numerous skills, including woodworking, from his father. In shop class in high school, he made a roll-top desk that won a regional competition. He also worked in his cousin’s cabinet shop before heading off to Boise State to get a degree in marketing, followed by an MBA. He spent 33 wonderful years at Hewlett Packard, while also becoming a master woodworker. Roger specializes in custom-made furniture, cabinets, shelves, clocks, and more. He’s also known for his beautiful ukuleles, some of which he has sold to people who don’t even play; they just hang them as art.  Roger also loves to cook, garden, consult at Larimer Small Business Development Center, and do handyman jobs for friends. He is married to Teresa, the Blue Moose Art Gallery writing instructor, and is the proud father of three grown children.
